Established in 1987, Moshi Moshi started as an old-school teriyaki house but over the years has been re-imaged as a new Japanese-American restaurant. Focusing on yakimono (grill), agemono (deep-fried), sushi, Japanese Whisky, cocktails, and sake.

Opened before the neighborhood was coined Mission Bay or Historic Dogpatch owner, Mitsuru ‘Mits’ Akashi brought Japanese cuisine and style to San Francisco locals and travelers. Mits took his heritage, passions and heart, and combined it with the passions of his employees and patrons to create a restaurant that is Moshi Moshi. Everyone is Welcome.
